Social Blade and YouTube channel pages archived by the Internet Archive for subscribers; UN World Population Prospects 2024 via Our World in Data for population (estimates to 2023, medium projection after), with official national estimates for 18 countries including the United States, China, Japan, Brazil, Germany and Vietnam. Populations are drawn between annual figures, and YouTube has shown subscriber counts rounded to three significant figures since September 2019, so the counters are interpolated between monthly observations. Because of that rounding the channel seems to trade places with DR Congo several times in 2023, although it actually passed it once, around February 2023, and it may already be ahead of Mexico while its rounded count still reads 133 million.
