Social Blade and YouTube channel and video pages archived by the Internet Archive and Common Crawl for subscribers; UN World Population Prospects 2024 via Our World in Data for population (estimates to 2023, medium projection after), with official national estimates for 18 countries including the United States, China, Japan, Brazil, Germany and Vietnam. Populations are drawn between annual figures, and YouTube has shown subscriber counts rounded down to three significant figures since September 2019, so the counters are interpolated between monthly observations. Counts before August 2018 are sums of Social Blade's monthly gains, and the counter runs straight between the few earlier records.
